Stay Cool With These Bozeman Ice Cream Hot Spots

Posted by RSVP Hotel BZN on 18 August 18, 7:31 am

When temperatures spike in Montana, it pays to be able to beat the heat. Nothing is more satisfying than delicious frozen treats, especially when they’re locally made with passion. These trendy Bozeman ice cream hot spots will get your taste buds tingling while you cool off. It’s okay to indulge—this is vacation, after all.

Sweet Peaks Ice Cream

Bozeman has only been lucky enough to have a Sweet Peaks location since 2017. This homegrown Montana favorite first opened up in Whitefish, Montana, in 2010 and has since swept across the state. This is ice cream made in the mountains, so you can expect creamy treats carefully crafted from Montana dairy, with 16–18 flavors in-house each day sculpted with local ingredients. Something that tastes this good could only be good for your soul!

Genuine Ice Cream Co.

Montana made just got a whole lot more hip at Genuine Ice Cream Co., where they say the secret ingredient is happy—and their trendy aerostream storefront injects even more touches of chic into each scoop. Their Instagram feed alone will make you drool, with specialty concoctions photogenically highlighted for some of the best dessert inspo around.

La Châtelaine Chocolat Co.

Named “Best Chocolatiers and Confectioners in the USA” in 2013, La Châtelaine brings world-class confections to the streets of Bozeman. But the mouthgasms they induce don’t stop at truffles and handcrafted delicacies that hearken back to the streets of Paris. You can also stumble upon artisan ice cream and sundaes best savored at the shop’s front counter that will chiquen up any afternoon.

The Chocolate Moose

This local chocolate-lover’s paradise isn’t all about the candy. Get going on one of their mondo scoops of ice cream, where plain Jane vanilla becomes a flavor sensation that can’t be topped. Browse the classic candy parlor, soda fountain vibe and taste your way through their classic curved glass ice cream case.

Paulie’s Deli

Serving local Wilcoxson’s Ice Cream based out of Livingston, Paulie’s Deli brings together the “wurst best place” of Big Sky Country and chill treats, treating you to the option of filling up on hot dogs, wraps and oh-so-good sandwiches while you slurp on locally made ice cream. And the uber-retro decor with just a hint of modern industrial will take you back to sock hops and soda shops while you indulge.

The Candy Jar

Mugs of ice cream put a flirty twist on the classic cup at the Candy Jar. And the best part? Since the owner of this rootin’ tootin’ shop is a personal trainer, you know you have a pass to treat yourself. Her personal philosophy seems to be that when it comes to your little cheats, go full monty and sample something that’s really worth it. You’ll go gaga for that creamy Wilcoxson’s ice cream decked out in Montana-made syrups to savor. And we know this isn’t quite as chill as ice cream, but the option to build your own candy bar in the shop is just too cool not to mention.

Toppers Frozen Yogurt

Froyo deserves pride of place right alongside these ice cream shops, especially with such a delectable option like Toppers in the heart of Bozeman. Invigorate your treat with a jolt of health at this hot spot where you can get your coffee fix at the same time. Be a little naughty and jeuje up your cup with sweet treats, or go for health and grab some granola and fruit to top off your California Tart nonfat froyo.
