Best Winter Cocktails In Bozeman
Ah, it’s the best time of the year—winter cocktail time! The coziest flavors of the season meet and mingle even faster than you and that hottie at the office Christmas party. The good news is, Bozeman has your taste buds covered when it comes to winter cocktails. The bad news is (okay, also more good news) we tried to keep this list short and sweet, but…we failed miserably. There are just too many tasty drinks to choose from, so don’t worry, that’s the best excuse out there to try all of Bozeman’s best winter cocktails below!
Hot Rum Cider (Bozeman Spirits)
It starts with scintillating sips at Bozeman Spirits. They know what they’re doing when it comes to the hard stuff, and their cocktails are no slouch either. Try the Hot Rum Cider for a drink that’ll warm you from the inside out. They’ll whip up a concoction of Prairie Schooner Spiced Rum (yum!) and hot apple cider, garnished with an apple slice and orange peel.
Chocolate Cherry (Wildrye)
Another of Bozeman’s local distilleries, Wildrye pours up the proverbial dessert drink. Their 5 Drops Bourbon, honey, cherry juice, and three quick dashes of chocolate bitters in a cocktail glass with ice (stirred, not shaken!) will have you choosing to have another over any other holiday treat.
Hot Cinnamon Apple (Bozeman Spirits)
You know it’s good when everything starts in a hot toddy glass. Bozeman Spirits mixologists will mix up some Montana 1889 Whiskey and hot apple cider, with a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg on top. That’s about as cold-weather delish as it gets.
Proper Irish Coffee (Open Range)
Well, you know when “proper” is in the name, they’re not messing around. Open Range mixes up classic Irish Whiskey, sugar, coffee, and cream for that time-honored Irish Coffee.
Bourbon Julius (Copper Whiskey Bar)
Copper Whiskey Bar brings more spirit(s) onto the scene, this time featuring vanilla-infused bourbon (all the noms), fresh squeezed orange, egg white, and simple syrup, served on the rocks.
Ginger Apple Crisp (Bozeman Spirits)
Also from Bozeman Spirits—they really do know how to do it—comes the Ginger Apple Crisp. Muddled red apple slice, their smooth Cold Springs vodka, and a dash of fresh-grated ginger come together in happy winter harmony, served on ice with ginger ale.
Hard Picard (PLONK)
A wine bar might seem like a strange place to pick up an amazing cocktail, but PLONK breaks the mold. Get ready for orange bourbon with earl grey–infused pineau des charentes, st germain, a little bit o’ lemon lime, orange, and bitters, plus a smooth Belgian ale to give a little extra body and fruity flavor.
Mexican Candy (Open Range)
Another from Open Range, the Mexican Candy mix features Reposado tequila, coffee liqueur, lime, pineapple juice, Chile de Arbol, and Scrappy’s Chocolate Bitters for a full-bodied winter spirited beverage.
Turkey Shoot (Wildrye)
The bird doesn’t have to be on the table—it’s in your glass with another Wildrye favorite. Their 5 Drops Bourbon, Wildrye Apple Pie, a dash of apple bitters, some cinnamon simple syrup, and just a splash of lemon and cranberry juice topped with soda water will get you excited for snowfall!
